The article presents an analysis of tables compiled on the basis of a complex of written sources, including archival and statistical materials from different times and containing information about the names of rural settlements of Lake Vedlozero territory in the 16th–20th centuries. The main stages of the formation of the official system of oikonyms of the territory are revealed, the nominative models are determined, including used for the integration of Karelian names into the Russian official system of names of settlements, the reasons for the transformations of oikonyms are analyzed.
