The article presents the methodology and first results of work on creating an audio corpus of the Mari language, recognition and synthesizer of the Mari speech. Currently, an audio database of voices of Mari speakers of different ages and genders representing different dialects of the Mari language is being created. The work is being carried out within the framework of the development of the national corpus of the Mari language.
